WOLFGANG’S STEAKHOUSE
250 W 41st St, New York, NY 10036 USA

My MAIN:PRIME NY SIRLOIN STEAK 🥩 ($53.95) MY SIDE DISH:WOLFGANG SALADE ($14.95) FOOD: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Lim Foodie’s Review: This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I came across numerous food pages praising this restaurant because steak in New York is so famous. Being a food blogger, I felt compelled to try it out. I ordered the Prime NY Sirloin Steak and Wolfgang Salad for two people. The steak itself was tender, juicy, and not overly salty; I opted for a medium rare preparation. The Wolfgang Salad is a delightful mix of vegetables with homemade bacon, offering a fresh and light taste.
Moreover, the service I received at this restaurant was admirable. The server checked on me frequently and kept my water glass regularly filled.
The restaurant has a modern and simple ambiance, though it can get a little noisy due to its popularity and constant crowd. One minor drawback is that the tables are tightly packed, contributing to the lively and authentic New York steakhouse vibe.
Additionally, there are five Wolfgang locations in New York, and I chose this one near Times Square, which adds to the fun atmosphere. When it comes to the price, it is a bit on the higher side, but the experience is definitely worth it.
Lim Foodie’s Tip: Since this restaurant is renowned as one of the top three steakhouses in NYC, it’s advisable to make a reservation.

KEENS STEAKHOUSE
72 W 36th St, New York, NY 10018 USA

MY MAIN:PRIME PORTER HOUSE FOR TWO 🥩 ($110) MY DRINK:COKE($4) FOOD: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Lim foodie’s review:
This place ranks among the top three New York steakhouses, offering around 10 options for steaks. Opting for the prime porterhouse for two, the steak proved to be soft and juicy with a generous portion. However, it leaned a little towards the salty side, so I recommend ordering a side salad or dish to balance the flavors. Interestingly, I discovered that this restaurant is not only renowned for its steaks but also for its fresh seafood. On my next visit, I plan to try the seafood platter.
The service is remarkably helpful and kind; when I requested extra sauce, it was promptly served. The atmosphere exudes an old pub style with a high ceiling, giving the impression of a place steeped in history. Located centrally, around 7 pm sees the influx of businessmen for dinner.
Positioned near the Empire State Building and Bryant Park, this central location allows for a delightful stroll around Bryant Park post-dinner. If you happen to visit in December, you can even enjoy ice skating at Bryant Park to burn off those dinner calories.
Considering the quality of food and the restaurant’s ambiance, the slightly higher price is justified.
Lim Foodie’s Tip:
Since this restaurant is renowned as one of the top three steakhouses in NYC, it’s advisable to make a reservation. I learned this the hard way; not having made a reservation, I had to endure a wait of more than half an hour to get a table.
Raclette NYC
511 E 12th St, New York, NY 10009 USA

MY MAIN:NEW YORK FOR TWO 🥩($59) WITH BLACK TRUFFLE CHEESE 🧀 ($3) FOOD:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ATOMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Lim foodie’s review:
I had the pleasure of dining at an authentic Swiss restaurant in New York, renowned for serving the famous Swiss dish called Raclette. This establishment boasts a diverse menu with many options for both steak and cheese. There are eight types of cheese to choose from, including Traditional, Weisstein, Morier, Potato, Black Truffle, Forcing, Smoked, and Alpine Herbs. I opted for the Black Truffle cheese to accompany my steak, which was served alongside potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus. The addition of cheese to the steak created a delightful fantasy of flavors. Make sure not to overlook the combination of potatoes and steak with cheese—it’s a culinary treat.
The service at this place is both kind and friendly and atmosphere is authentically Swiss, creating a pleasant dining vibe. Since it’s not a large restaurant, the tables might not be spacious enough for larger parties, so it’s advisable to visit with a smaller group. Keep in mind that there’s only one toilet in the restaurant, which could be a bit inconvenient.
The restaurant is located in New York, offering an authentic Swiss dining experience.Sharing the steak with a friend, we found it challenging to finish, so it’s recommended to share with 2 or 3 people, depending on your appetite. The price, at around $33 per person, is reasonable compared to other well-known steak restaurants.
Lim Foodie’s Tip:
This restaurant is famous for its cheese, so don’t forget to add cheese to your steak. Additionally, consider ordering red wine, as cheese and red wine make the perfect pair!
BEST BRUNCH IN NYC
NOMO SOHO

MY MAIN: EGG BENEDICT SALMON 🥚 ($21) MY DRINK: ORANGE JUICE 🍊 ($6) FOOD:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️
Lim foodie’s review:
I tried the Egg Benedict Salmon for breakfast, and it was appetizing and beautifully presented, though the portion wasn’t particularly generous. My friend opted for pasta.
One disappointment was the clumsiness of the service; they forgot to serve my orange juice, leading to a prolonged wait. Despite the service not being excellent, I still recommend this restaurant primarily for its captivating atmosphere.
The place is known for its Instagram-worthy aesthetics, boasting cool vibes with transparent ceilings, green plants, and captivating paintings. The highlight is the entrance adorned with beautiful light bulbs, making it a perfect spot for some cool pictures.
The restaurant is located inside a hotel in the proximity of Soho Street. Being close to Soho, it’s an ideal spot to indulge in some shopping post-brunch.
Prices tend to be on the higher side, given that the restaurant is located inside a hotel in the area close to Soho Street
Lim foodie’s tip:
This place is a well-known spot on social media, so it’s highly recommended to make a reservation. In my case, not having made one led to a wait of more than 1 hour to get a table. Learn from my experience and plan ahead to secure your spot!

LADUREE
396 W Broadway, New York, NY 10021 USA

MY MAIN: FRIED EGG AVOCADO TOAST 🥑 ($15) MY DRINK:ROSE LATTE 🌹 ($7) FOOD:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Lim Foodie’s Review:
To every girl out there, remember that you’re all princesses, and sometimes you deserve to treat yourself to beautiful food. If you’re on the lookout for such a place, look no further than LADUREE. This buzzing chain restaurant from France, famous for its macarons, made our Sunday morning girl trip perfect.
I ordered the Fried Egg Avocado Toast, served on a pastel-colored, beautiful plate. The French toast-style base with avocado and egg was delicious, although I’d suggest a sunny side up egg for a more perfect pairing. For my drink, I opted for a rose latte, beautifully adorned with a rose leaf—a perfect scene and a perfect balance of sweetness.
The restaurant offers two seating options—indoor or patio style. I chose the patio with transparent windows and ceiling. Despite it being winter, it was surprisingly warm. Known for its afternoon tea set, this place is ideal for making your day even more perfect. Located near Soho, it’s a great spot for some shopping post-brunch.
Keep in mind that being a famous French chain store, the food tends to be on the pricier side.
Lim Foodie’s Tip:
If you’re a big fan of macarons, you should definitely try one here. Having tried macarons from this brand in France, I can attest to how amazing they are.

Lim Foodie’s Review:
I’m pretty sure everyone has come across the drama called “Sex and the City.” Did you know that it’s shot in New York City? Well, I hear a lot of hypothetical “Yes” from my readers. If you’re a huge fan of the drama, you’ve got to check out the shooting locations. I visited one around 4 pm on a Saturday; my friends and I planned to go earlier, but we ended up waking up super late. Anyway, I ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict, which was absolutely tasty. This dish includes two buns with raw salmon, a sunny side up egg, and a side salad. I mean, the classic eggs benedict never goes wrong.
The place has a delightful mix of a romantic and fancy vibe. After brunch, you can take a leisurely stroll in Central Park, conveniently right in front of this restaurant. Keep in mind that the food is on the expensive side, given the restaurant’s fame as a shooting location for the drama film.

Sunday In Brooklyn

MY MAIN: Malted pancakes 🥞($13),Avocado Toast($13) and Dry-aged burger 🍔 ($19) My drink: drip coffee ☕️ ($5) FOOD:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️
Lim Foodie’s Review:
If you’re planning to visit Brooklyn Bridge and Dumbo, make sure to include a pitstop in Williamsburg. This trendy area, transformed into a hipster haven through gentrification, boasts vibrant cafes, restaurants, beautiful graffiti, and vintage stores. I explored Williamsburg on a Sunday morning with my friend, a university student in New York.
Starving, we decided to indulge in three dishes: Malted Pancakes, Avocado Toast, and a Dry-Aged Burger. The standout was undoubtedly the single stack of Malted Pancakes—a round, fluffy delight with melted chocolate, reminiscent of Nutella. These were the fluffiest pancakes I’ve ever had, and they paired perfectly with a good cup of coffee. The Avocado Toast and Dry-Aged Burger were also delicious. Service was decent, and the atmosphere exuded a cute and vibrant brunch shop vibe.
Keep in mind that this brunch spot is a bit far from the center; I stayed at the New Yorker Hotel, near the Empire State Building. After a delightful brunch, my friend and I explored the area, capturing some cool pictures in Williamsburg.
Lim Foodie’s Tip:
This restaurant is quite famous, so be prepared to wait in line to get in. I waited for more than 20 minutes, but the experience was well worth it!
Lim foodie’s tip: this restaurant is quite famous so you have to be ready to line up to get in 🙂 I waited more than 20 minutes to get in

BEST NIGHT OUT IN NYC
Top of the Standard
The Standard, High Line, 848 Washington St, New York, NY 10014 USA

My drink:The standard issue 🍸($20) FOOD:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️
Lim Foodie’s Review:
I got a cocktail called “The Standard Issue,” crafted with single barrel bourbon, grapefruit, lime, and spiced raspberry amaro. It’s a fruity and refreshing cocktail, perfectly catering to my taste as someone who enjoys fruity concoctions. Seated at the bar, service was adequate.
What stood out the most was the atmosphere. Positioned on a higher floor with expansive windows, the bar provides a breathtaking view of the beautiful New York skyline. While sipping my cocktail, I could see the iconic Empire State Building, creating a truly beautiful experience. The bar’s location near the Highline makes it convenient to drop by the famous Chelsea Market for some food before heading to The Standard. I particularly recommend trying the Lobster at the market.
The drink itself costs around $20, making it relatively expensive, but the experience of enjoying a cocktail with the stunning night view of NYC is undoubtedly worth it.
Lim Foodie’s Tip:
Keep in mind that this bar has a dress code, so make sure to wear dress shoes. Running shoes are not allowed.
Asiate at Mandarin Oriental,New York
80 Columbus Cir, New York, NY 10023 USA

MY MAIN: Three courses for one($98)+upgrade to Loster($10) My drink: speical cocktails($22) Extra:Birthday cake($140) FOOD:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️
Lim Foodie’s Review:
Situated within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Asiate is a distinguished restaurant in a league of its own. It’s important not to confuse it with The Aviary, another restaurant in the same hotel. Having experienced both, I must say I prefer the vibe at Asiate—it’s excellent for a relaxing dining experience.
Opting for the three-course menu, I started with the Maine Lobster, an exquisite dish composed of radish, cucumber, and lemongrass. Note that there’s a $10 supplement for the Maine Lobster. For the second course, I chose the Lamb Loin, beautifully paired with eggplant, citron, and white polenta. The finale was the indulgent Chocolate Puff. Since it happened to be my birthday, I pre-ordered a cake from the restaurant, as they don’t allow outside cakes.
The atmosphere at Asiate seamlessly blends Asian and American vibes. Positioned in front of Central Park, the restaurant offers a glimpse of the park’s beauty. I visited in the evening, but for an optimal view, I recommend going during the daytime to enjoy the scenic Central Park and Columbia Circle.
Lim Foodie’s Tip:
Make a reservation without a doubt. While requesting a window table doesn’t guarantee it, mentioning a special event, such as a birthday, might increase your chances of securing a seat with a view.

BEST DESERT IN NYC
Junior’s restaurant & Cheesecake

Lim’s Foodie Review:
When in NYC, indulging in cheesecake is a must—after all, who hasn’t heard of New York cheesecake at least once in their life? My quest for the perfect cheesecake led me to Junior’s Cheesecake, a spot renowned for its cheesecakes and even favored by former President Obama.
Opting for the Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake, the strawberries lived up to their name—fresh, vibrant, and a literal journey to heaven with each bite. The cheesecake itself was homemade, delightfully soft, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Accompanied by good coffee with unlimited refills, it was a treat for the taste buds.
The servers were not just efficient but also friendly and cheerful, contributing to the casual and family restaurant vibe. It’s the kind of place you can drop by whenever the craving for cheesecake strikes. Conveniently located near Times Square and right beside the Lion King Theatre, it’s an ideal treat before catching a musical.
Lastly, the price of the cheesecake was reasonable, offering a good portion for a satisfying indulgence. Junior’s Cheesecake undoubtedly lives up to its reputation.

Elieen’s Special Cheesecake

MY MAIN:cheesecake 🍓($4.95) My drink: coffee ☕️ ($2.25) FOOD:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ SERVICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ATMOSPHER:⭐️ ⭐️ LOCATION:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PRICE:⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Lim Foodie’s Review:
This cheesecake spot is undeniably one of the renowned gems in NYC. The exterior may appear a bit aged, but step inside, and you’ll find it quite charming. The menu offers a plethora of flavor options, as well as various sizes for cheesecakes. Learning from a previous experience of not being able to finish the largest cheesecake, this time, I opted for a small and adorable strawberry cheesecake, priced around 5 dollars—a perfect size for a quick and delightful bite.
The cheesecake itself was a treat—soft, not too heavy, and incredibly tasty. Accompanied by freshly brewed coffee, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The staff were friendly, and the service was both quick and pleasant.
The only downside is the limited seating, making it feel more like a takeaway spot. However, for the typical New Yorker always on the go, it’s the perfect place to grab a quick and delicious treat.
